A rare Tanjore painting of a peacock from South India dating from the 1930's
The painting is unusual since Tanjore paintings normally have gold, metal and even jewels incorporated into the artwork, whereas this one (one of a pair), relies just on vegetable coloured paint.
The painting's dimensions (frame size) are:
26.5cm x 22.5cm (10.5in x 8.75in)
